Volunteering

Neston Swim Club is run entirely by volunteers – please consider getting involved.

Poolside helper

As well as learning new skills themselves, a poolside helper can offer support to our coaches (level2) and their coaching assistants (level1) as they run swimming sessions; such volunteering can be incredibly rewarding.

The role is generally suitable for 15+ ages, those completing DofE courses, and for those wanting to get some poolside experience before considering more formal assistant (level1) and coaching (level2) courses.

If you are interested in this role, please contact a member of the committe or a coach. More details can be found in the form below – these are also available as hard copies on the club noticeboard at the pool.

Committee

The committee is a close group of volunteers to oversee the smooth, safe and sustainable running of the club. The main roles are chair, secretary, treasurer, membership, team manager and safeguarding officer. We have additional roles without portfolio to share the load. Please do talk to any member of the committee if you would like to find out more. Current committee.

We would also be interested to hear from you if you have skills that could help the club for example web design, sponsorship or social media.

Young volunteer

September 2019 saw the launch of the new Swim England North West Young Volunteer Award.

The award is designed to provide young persons (between the ages of 14-17) from all aquatic disciplines, the opportunity to develop their knowledge, skills and experience to prepare them as volunteers within aquatic sport. THere are no requirements for safeguarding or DBS checks. To find out more visit the SE NW web site or ask a committee member – https://swimnorthwest.org/young-volunteer-award/
